Help Us, to Help the
International Myeloma Foundation
to Help Us
Multiple myeloma is a blood disease that mutates plasma cells and rapidly multiplies, choking out the white and red cells. Today it is still incurable! Help us raise money to find a CURE. The CURE is so close! Help our Team get the word out and raise public awareness about multiple myeloma in as many cities, towns, clubs, and circles of families and friends by selling tickets for this “Many Blooms of Life” quilt made by me, a survivor of multiple myeloma.
Many Blooms of Life
The “Many Blooms of Life” was the second quilt I ever made. I didn’t begin quilting until November 2010 while going through my third stem cell transplant – allo (donated stem cells from my sister Kelley). I was told to find a “clean” hobby. So my quilt- making began with specially chosen material from my sister Julie and lots of guidance and patience from my mother Janeice. After my first quilt was complete, I couldn’t wait to start the next one, so off to the store for more material. A little over four years later with more than 30 quilts under my needle, it only felt right to donate and raffle my “Many Blooms of Life” quilt and raise money for the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF). IMF has so diligently helped so many survivors, families and caregivers who are living with multiple myeloma. The IMF is here to help us learn as much as possible and to seek out the best care possible until a CURE can be developed. Join me and my Multiple Myeloma Support Group Team raise money by purchasing a $5.00 raffle ticket for the “Many Blooms of Life” quilt.
Raffle Tickets are $5.00/each
Please send check (and include your phone number and email address for winner notification) made payable to “IMF” to:
2500 West Landing Road
Virginia Beach, VA 23456
The drawing will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2015 (the date of my last allo-stem cell transplant.) All IMF donations are tax deductible. You can donate by clicking on the “Donate” button and I will complete a raffle ticket for each $5.00 donated. For more information about multiple myeloma, please visit the IMF webpage at: myeloma.org
